Data collected

AirMess collects the following data:

• Email address when an account is created
• Content of form submissions (fields filled in by the visitors of your sites)
• IP addresses for rate limiting purposes
• Email address of the visitors of your sites, when sender confirmation is enabled on a form

Purposes of processing

The data is used exclusively for:

• Authenticating users
• Delivering contact emails to the configured recipients
• Sending a confirmation email to the person who submitted the form, if the form manager enables this option
• Tracking submissions (delivery history)

Retention period

Submissions and their delivery history are kept for 12 months from receipt, then deleted automatically; they are deleted earlier if the form concerned is deleted. CSV export lets each manager keep their own data beyond that. User accounts are kept until deletion is requested.

Sender confirmation emails

When a form manager enables the confirmation option, the email address provided by the visitor in the form is used to send them an acknowledgement. This address is not kept beyond sending that email; only tracking data (success or failure of the sending) is recorded.

Audience measurement (Plausible)

The site uses Plausible, a self-hosted, cookieless audience measurement tool (the data does not pass through any third party). It sets no cookie, uses no persistent identifier and does not record the IP address: the pageviews collected (pages visited, browser, referrer) are fully aggregated and anonymous. As it involves no personal data, this audience measurement does not require prior consent.
